The Honor Shoot
The Honor Shoot is Full Circle Home's signature sporting clays fundraiser. It is a day of camaraderie and friendship, coming together to honor, celebrate and support service members and their loved ones. The event is limited in size to 100 attendees to ensure it is a special and intimate event. It draws sponsors and participants from all areas, and we always have a team of active military.
Why a sporting clays event? A very large percentage of our military are trained on guns. Admittedly, some of the guns are significantly larger than a shotgun, such as those on a Navy ship or Air Force jets!
Seasoned shooters as well as individuals completely new to the sporting clays can participate in the Honor Shoot. Each station has a monitor to keep everyone safe, and to guide those who may be shooting for the first time.
After the competition, participants enjoy refreshments and hors d'oeuvres and have a chance to bid on a limited number of curated silent auction items. Upon going in to dinner, the live auction of a select few items always draws out friendly banter and high bids. Announcements are made of the Sporting Clays winning team, the high scorer and Best Dressed. A sumptuous steak dinner from the Erie Grill is served at white clothed tables. Fun is had by all! We hear over and over, "It was a blast!" - appropriately enough.
